MIKE WOLF

This is a website for a Mike Wolf YouTube channel. My name is Mike, I am making videos about videogames I like. My videos are always story-rich, and I’m putting my whole time and resources into their creation.

I made this website for two reasons:

  • To make life of businesses who want to buy ads on Mike Wolf easier.
  • To be transparent with my viewers about how ads on Mike Wolf work.

How I make my videos

Step 1: Filming

This is the beginning of everything. I start a game that I like or think that would fit my channel - and I just play it until I feel that I’m done.

This stage usually takes around a week.

Step 2: Writing the script

I finished playing and now trying to carve an entertaining story from a boring gameplay.

It takes me 1-2 weeks, usually. I really struggle with this stage since English is not my native language.

Step 3: Recording a voiceover

Because English is not my native, I really struggle with this stage as well. I’m trying to speak as clear as I can, but since my scripts are usually around an hour long - recording takes time.

Usually it takes me 5-7 days to finish.

Step 4: Editing the video

I open my Davinci Resolve and grind editing. We are almost there at this point. Here I also order Thumbnails for a video from a professional (a living one, not AI).

1-3 weeks, depending on video difficulty.

Step 5: Ta-da! Video is uploaded

What types of ads I sell

Integration

Ad slot integrated directly into the video. Here is some rules:

  • Ad slot is not longer than 60 seconds. Viewers would skip it, if it would be longer, trust me.
  • Only after the 3-rd minute of the video.
  • It might be integrated natively, but the ad would never be “hidden”. Ads would be always marked both in the script and in the video.
  • I am not going to lie. I won’t say “I use this product”, if I’m not. If I know that your ad contains false information, it won’t be in my video.
  • I am not selling “pre-rolls”.
  • I won’t advertise certain products.

Dedicated video

The video itself is an ad. However, this type of ads is tricky. Here is the rules:

  • VERY IMPORTANT! My channel is about games that I like. If your product is not a game that I like, there will be no option for dedicated video on Mike Wolf. No exceptions.
  • In other words: if you are selling cookware, computers, cars or anything that is not a videogame, there is no point asking me for a dedicated video.
  • The video would be marked as an Ad.
  • Golden rule: my video is still my video. I will make it as I see it and there will be no revisions. Dedicated video will show your game as it is, and will depict my own opinion, no matter what this opinion is.

What I won’t advertise

Drugs

It may be harmful and I won’t even know until it’s too late.

Gambling

In any form: casinos, sport-betting and case opening.

Other YT channels

It doesn’t work. Please never spend money on it.

Adult things

My channel is for all ages. Such ads are inappropriate.

Scams

Your product must be genuine and trustworthy, or I’m out.

Any other things

I may just decide that your product won’t fit me.
